Organized by the Zero Day Initiative team of Trend Micro and held annually since April 2007, the hacking competition Pwn2Own took place in Tokyo, Japan, on January 24-26 this year. Many automotive companies participated in this great competition, including Tesla. The company offered great prizes to hackers.

Tesla has made its infotainment system and charging stations the target of hackers. Then, on the first day of the competition, a team called Synacktiv successfully hacked Tesla’s infotainment system. The company then offered a $100,000 prize.

After a few more hacks, the group returned home at the end of the day with a total of $295,000 in prizes from Tesla. The Synacktiv team also hacked the electric vehicle giant last year and won a $100,000 prize. In this context, the name of the group is one of the names that come to mind when it comes to Tesla.
